Dr. Bong Joon Jang, DDS, MSD
About the Dentist
Dr. Jang is the former Attending Physician of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Stanford University Hospital. He received his DDS and MSD degrees in South Korea, where he trained in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. His residency of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry was at New York University Dental Hospital, New York. His expertise covers dentoalveolar surgery, dental implant, bone grafting (including lateral and vertical sinus graft, guided bone regeneration, block graft), wisdom teeth extraction, and infection treatment.
He has completed over 10,000 implant cases since 2000, including many to treat failed implants or maxillary sinusitis cases referred from other dental offices.
Dr. Jang is the first author of the Craniofacial Implant Chapter in Atlas of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery textbook (2014) and has given presentations about aesthetic dental implant in major dental implant conferences such as AO meeting, ICOI, and the Greater New York Dental Meeting.
